This site is published by French Musical Theatre NYC (Mae), a French-language musical theatre program based in New York, operated as a sole proprietor by Maeva Blanco Suarez in the United States.

The short application form collects the parent's name, email, the child's age, and French level. The full registration form, completed by a parent or legal guardian, may additionally collect: the child's identity and date of birth, an optional photo, health information or particular needs, the identity, contact details and relationship to the child of the legal guardian(s), pickup authorizations, and a single photo/video media consent choice.

This information partly concerns a minor and includes health data: it is handled with particular care and is never made public.

This data is used exclusively to review applications, organize workshop registration, ensure the child's safety and wellbeing during sessions, and communicate with legal guardians.

The media consent choice (full authorization, internal use only, or none) strictly determines how any recordings may be used: without publication consent, no photo or video of the child is used for communication or promotional purposes.

No form data is stored in the browser (no localStorage) beyond the entry session.

No sensitive data is sent to any analytics tool, included in a URL or query parameter, or logged in front-end application logs.

Uploaded files (child's photo) are validated server-side, securely renamed, and stored outside any public directory.

Registration and application data is kept only for as long as needed to manage enrollment and the workshop, subject to applicable legal obligations. The precise retention period is still to be formally defined before the site's public launch — see LEGAL-TODO.md.

Legal guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data concerning their child, as well as withdrawal of their media consent for future uses, by writing to frenchmusicaltheatrenyc@gmail.com.

Withdrawing this consent does not necessarily remove content already published or shared on third-party media or platforms.

The formal process for handling these requests (timelines, identity verification) will be specified before production, in line with applicable legal obligations.

This site does not currently claim any specific legal certification or compliance (e.g. COPPA): these points must be reviewed and validated by a qualified professional before any public launch in the United States. See the full list in LEGAL-TODO.md.

In production, the site must be served over HTTPS, with strict access control on registration data and encryption at rest for sensitive information.
